During its history the theater changed several times its name and passed a complex way of search. In 1980 Crimean Ukrainian Musical and Drama Theater was renamed to Crimean Ukrainian Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy. But in the course of time life prompted that it is necessary to create a musical theater in Crimea. And in 1991 it was re-organized into Crimean Ukrainian Musical Theater. And since that time bright, spectacular musical stagings uniting words, music and dancing, became a part of a repertoir. Such spectacles as «Natalka Poltavka», «Zaporozhets over Danube», «Sorochino Fair", "The Paris Blessed Virgin Church", "May night", "Krechinski wedding", "Witside story", "Silva", "Bat" always have success.

The theater sees its destination in creating bright, picturesque stagings and giving joy to people.
